Markets Luberon

It is part of "French Exception Markets"! This Provencal market is held every Saturday morning in the city centre. It is so known that in summer the town hall offers free shuttles to the centre.

This producers' store is the fruit of teamwork and is run by the farmers who offer their products for direct sale. All year round, La Bardane offers a wide range of products from the southern Luberon and the Durance plain, including fruit and vegetables, wines, meats, preserves, cheeses and bread. The store embodies the values of peasant agriculture, promoting practices that respect the environment and people. The products on offer meet strict ethical criteria, notably excluding soil-less agriculture and intensive livestock farming. Here you'll find quality and good cheer!

Open for 15 years, this collective outlet for local producers, both organic and conventional, offers fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, poultry and a range of artisanal products, such as cheese, oil, drinks, dairy products and eggs. Producers take it in turns to sell their wares, allowing customers direct contact with them and even greater product transparency. You're sure to find what you're looking for in this comprehensive range of short-distance products.

The Marché Flottant was created in the 1960s, initiated by René Légier after a trip to Bangkok. Since then, every 1ᵉʳ Sunday in August, merchants in traditional costume go from one bank of the Sorgue to the other aboard their Nègo-chin (flat-bottomed boats) to sell fruit and vegetables, cheeses and bouquets of flowers. At the end of the market, around 1pm, they gather to sing the Coupo Santo, the hymn of the Félibrige. A picturesque spectacle that draws huge crowds. Get there early if you want a front-row seat.
