Moulin de la Cassadotte is the cradle of farmed caviar in France. The Caviar de Gironde trademark was registered in 1993. During a 1h30 guided tour, you'll first learn about the history of this former flour mill converted to sturgeon farming, and then discover the meticulous craft of sturgeon breeding - a species that looks like a prehistoric creature... At the end of the visit? The long-awaited tasting session and a detour to the boutique to buy some exceptional caviar. Tasting formulas are available all year round, starting at 12 euros.

François Delage offers his current catch for direct sale and tasting: sea bream, sole, sea bass and more. His motto: from boat to plate, there are no middlemen. The menu is very short, with only the freshest fish cooked to perfection, but as simply as possible, a la plancha or cut into carpaccio. All dishes are accompanied by a baked potato topped with herb whipped cream and green salad. The tasting room is located on the harbor, with a lovely view of this corner of the basin.

Mélanie Badets, an agricultural engineer with a fine nose and palate, has taken over Cafés Tchanqué - named after the famous tchanqué huts - and given them the name Tchanqué Gourmet. She, too, knows a thing or two about coffee and roasting. Her coffees come from the mountains of India, Africa and Latin America. She selects them with care, giving preference to small producers who are passionate about their craft. The Cafés Tchanqués, Cabane 53 -in reference to the Arcachon Basin- and Empreinte (organic coffees) collections are available in 200 gram to 1 kg bags and capsules.

With its red lines and parasols, it's not hard to spot cabane n° 15 on the port of La Teste-de-Buch. And at Chez Jejhene, there's always something to read about the art of living, love or friendship before you step through the door. On the premises or to take away, as is often the case, Hélène and Jérôme Laboual offer oysters (from their own production) accompanied, why not, by prawns, whelks, periwinkles or a local pâté. All washed down with a glass of Argilius white wine.

Les Jardins de VYMM is a market gardener based in Lanton. They offer a wide variety of fresh, locally grown fruit and vegetables. Les Jardins de VYMM are also present at independent winegrowers' fairs in various French towns, where you can discover and taste their award-winning wines.

The market takes place in Lanton-Cassy on Sunday morning, Rue Street, in Cassy from 8 h to 13 h. Night markets are also organized in summer. In the vicinity, on the Arcachon basin, the market is held on Sunday morning in Biganos and on Tuesday morning in Audenge.

The appointment of the Teichois takes place on Saturday morning from 7:30 am until 1:30 pm, place du Souvenir, in the city center, between the church and the town hall. Known throughout France, discover a whole range of Dunes Blanches like the Dunes de Piquey with a whole range of flavors: raspberry-white chocolate, salted butter caramel, sesame nougatine, Nutella and dark chocolate. Other specialties: sacristains (a pastry made of twisted puff pastry, covered with royal icing and sprinkled with flaked almonds, all sprinkled with sugar), rye pie with fruit, fisherman's baguette with melted cheese, nuts, bacon, and olive ficelle or chorizo ficelle.

Oyster farmers and producers, Yoan and Chloé Godichaud are based in the oyster village of Cap Ferret. Here, buy oysters direct to take away: Cap Ferret oysters bred on the shores of the Presqu'île, Banc d'Arguin oysters bred at the ocean's edge in deep water... With a higher meat content, the special oysters, matured in "balancelles" bags, won a silver medal at the Concours Général de Paris 2019. To be tasted on the Mimbeau conche, facing the Pilat Dune, every day during school vacations.
