Corinne, Philippe, Stéphane and Charlotte raise beef and fat ducks in organic farming on their farm in Eyne, at 1,500 m altitude between Cerdagne and Capcir. This family of enthusiasts and epicureans is regularly quoted in the regional and national press, so much so that the conditions of breeding and the quality of the products are irreproachable. Cattle breeding is not limited to pure meat as these farmers had the idea of making charcuteries: veal cow sausage, dried meat... To be eaten without moderation.

Séverine and Franck raise fattened ducks, guinea fowl and chickens on their mountain farm in the heart of the regional nature park. In the continuity of their "Master Trainer", Guillaume and his partner perpetuate the beautiful adventure of SAOR. Only one thing has changed: the name "SAORVY". Promoting their products (a beautiful range of 14 different juices) on fairs and markets, the young couple does not spare any effort... Always looking for producers like them, passionate about the real taste, the one from our childhood. In 2003, the passionate winegrower Olivier Castells took over the 25 hectares of vines of the family estate, which were vinified in a cooperative cellar, with the objective of making his own wines. He extends the exploitation to 30 hectares by leading his vineyard under the High Environmental Value certification, where he reconciles white and red wines. He brings together Maccabeu, Grenache blanc and gris, Muscats d'Alexandrie and à Petits grains as well as Sauvignon in the plain and gives birth to the reds by the alliance of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan.

The Domaine de la Mer Blanche has 3 hectares of organic land with 800 olive trees, one hectare of pomegranate trees and one hectare of fig trees. The Mer Blanche olive oil comes from the olive tree, emblematic of the Catalan region. It is a blend of black and green olives that gives birth to this oil, which is highly appreciated for its balance, its aromatic richness (especially tomato flavour) and its beautiful roundness in the mouth.

In the hamlet of Puigt, on the road to Rabouillet, this small processing workshop produces high quality certified organic jams. They are made in the pure tradition of artisanal jam making in a cauldron over a low heat with a minimum of 70% fruit. Most of the fruit used comes from a nearby farm that grows organically. Jams with cane sugar, fruit purees without added sugar, onion and fig jams...

The best of Catalan charcuterie is here, the reputation of this award-winning company founded in 1929..... Sausage, pa de fedge, terrines, fuet... For nearly 100 years, combining tradition and modernity, but always with the aim of selecting the best olives, the Catalan offers you a tasting of its products which are declined in 3 ranges: the flavoured, the medium and the intense. In the heart of the historic centre of the city, a food market is held 6 days a week, but traditionally it is bigger on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with an organic trend on Saturdays. The best producers of the area are there and you will be amazed by the quality and freshness of some of the products. This market is also worth the detour to admire the beautiful houses that surround the square and have a little coffee on the terrace.

There are two lovely shops that praise wine: grand cru and small estates from here and elsewhere, as well as a fine range of natural sweet wines. In the heart of the Roussillon plain, this former gulf filled by the alluvium of three rivers, the Cabestany terroir is composed of a mixture of rich, fatty or silty soils, interspersed with rocky areas. Among the terraces staggered according to the three rivers are the Cabestany terraces, formed by rolled pebbles and alluvium. Inaugurated in 2005, the Cabestany sales cellar, adjacent to the Cave Coopérative, is located in the heart of the village. Its central counter in the shape of a barrel is original and its immense bay windows bring in the sun and the warmth of the smiles of passers-by. You will be seduced by the architecture of the place as much as by the wines you can taste with Audrey. We particularly liked the Master of Cabestany and the Two Lions, two Côtes du Roussillon Villages in red that have structure and hold or simply the Will of a Hom, a very surprising organic rosé in IGP. The Cabestany vault also hosts very beautiful exhibitions (the place is so vast and warm that it lends itself perfectly to it) and has a large car park. Don't forget before or after the tasting to stop by (5 min by foot) at the Romanesque Sculpture Centre in Cabestany, a place to discover.

Mas de Lavail is a vineyard located in Maury. The estate offers a wide range of wines, from "pleasure" wines such as Carignan Blanc and Carignan Noir, to expressive wines such as La Désirade and Le Sud. The vineyard also offers natural sweet wines, such as Maury Expression and Muscat de Rivesaltes.

On the 15 ha vineyard that stretches from Tautavel to St-Paul de Fenouillet, there is a wide variety of soils: schist, schistose marl and clay-limestone. In the 3 colours, Dimitri and Muriel create wines with a concentrated and greedy character. By exploiting old vines situated at altitude, their objective is simple: to improve the gustative quality every year and thus, in essence, to position themselves as one of the sure values in the region. The Château de Péna vineyards are located in the foothills of the Corbières mountains. The cooperative winery was founded in 1942, and today boasts some 30 winegrowers spread over 450 ha. Special mention goes to Corinne Le Meur, cellar master at the Cave Coopérative, and their cuvée Regard de Femmes. A Christmas Muscat that comes to life every year thanks to a meeting of women, wine professionals and connoisseurs alike, to select the blend that will form this subtle nectar. The Domaine des Schistes is a family property which cultivates 50 hectares of vines between Estagel and Tautavel in the heart of the Agly valley. Domaine Força Réal has been a family affair for 30 years. The organically grown vines stretch over a wide range of terroirs (schist, limestone and clay). We feel that diversity is the key word for this family of winegrowers. A particular favourite at the tasting was "Les Hauts de Força Réal", in white and red, an ambitious and delicate wine. Finally, 10 hectares are dedicated to the other king fruit of the Mediterranean. The native olive and picholine varieties, hand-picked and ripe, give a high quality, slightly fiery oil.

Domaine Danjou-Banessy, located in Espira-de-l'Agly, is an organic farm offering a range of high-quality dry wines. The owners, Benoît and Sébastien Danjou, took over the estate in 2001 and have maintained a philosophy of respect for plants and expressions of terroir. The estate comprises 18 hectares of vines, mainly on schist, calcoschist, clay-limestone and quartz veins. The wines produced are refined, delicate and energetic, with good tension and vivacity. The Vignerons du Vallespir is a group of 70 winegrowers who have adhered to the values of cooperation since 1949. The vineyard extends from Céret at the gates of Vallespir to Le Boulou and includes some villages in the Aspres at the foot of the Albères. This variety of terroir can be found in the wines, which range from the fruitiest to the most robust. In summer, special tastings are organized as well as a village market in the streets of Le Boulou on Thursday and Sunday mornings.
