Ideally located at the top of the village of Saint-Nectaire, this charming relay offers you the specialities of the region: plate of pork, truffles, aligot, andouillette mustard sauce, potée auvergne, char... On sunny days, you can have lunch on the terrace and enjoy the view over the Romanesque church, also a place to start hiking. Don't worry, there's a large parking lot waiting for you upstairs. Take the opportunity to take a look at the church and walk around it, it's very pleasant after a good meal. The nice thing is the late service (until about 3pm), ideal for a Sunday when we've been hanging out in bed or on the trails a little bit!

Funny name for a restaurant that offers Auvergne specialities.... The decoration is also more Latin than mountainous. A large room can accommodate a large number of tables, offering the hungry a place to eat even in low season. If the main room is not enough, a second room below, colder, can be used as a complement. The dishes are simple but good and gourmet. The staff, welcoming and smiling, offers a quality service and will gladly accept to chat if you wish. What a great way to spend a warm moment with mountain flavours in all simplicity.

The Auberge des skiieurs is a comforting place like one likes to find in mountain resorts. The decoration is warm and the content of the card is accordingly. Here, you can, of course, taste a traditional truffade, but also interesting variants, blue, cantal, mushrooms... Generously served in the frying pan, it is of excellent quality. The chef also offers fondues as well as more elaborate dishes such as foie gras fried with plum plum cream or a back of cod in brig leaf. The wine list is short but of high quality, so we were able to taste a Côtes-d'Auvergne old vines perfectly matched to the truffade. However, the reception could be improved and the service is sometimes long when the team is overwhelmed.

Located in the heart of the Val de Besbre, Chrystelle's bar-restaurant is open in the morning, perfect for a warm drink. At noon, it concocts traditional dishes, including its potato specialties, rabbit rabbit in Charroux mustard, duck roasted with orange sauce, head of feast sauce… It is in a room of fifty places or under barnum that throughout the year, with its team, it organizes theme evenings, in a family atmosphere. Excellent value for money for this nice address, where you will always be well received, located next to Prehistorama.

Built in 1855, "The Auberge du pont de Lanau" continues its story with Jérôme and Gaëlle who took over this place in 2011. A table serves Auvergne cuisine based on local products and traditional refined dishes.
