CHLOROFIL NESTS
Read moreLocated less than 15 km from Lille, the Phalempin forest attracts Les in search of a little nature. Devastated during the First World War, it was fully replantée in the 1920 s and is easily accessible by a car park, while the trails allow for the passage of strollers and bicycles. it's a family-run exit. For younger people, the botanical trail will be an opportunity to discover the diversity of plants, which is the basis of the ecosystem of this vast forest of nearly 700 hectares. The walk will soon take you to the four ponds hiding behind the reeds, the natural habitat of frogs and tritons. Be vigilant: You may also inhabit deer or foxes… and certainly, some fishermen. Near the Hermitage Castle (dated th century), a small picnic is required in fine weather!

DEEP SEA DISTRICT
Read moreA new, completely visionary eco-neighborhood. Built on the old shipyards, the Grand Wide offers a collective and individual habitat between the city centre, the seaside resort and the harbour. In an atypical form conceived by the architect Nicolas Michelin (Grand National Town of Town planning), these new dwellings are part of a sustainable development logic (eco-walls, végétalisée roof, storm recovery, solar sensors etc.) and once again prove the dynamism of Dunkirk.

PARISH OF OUR LADY OF CZESTOCHOWA
Read moreThe parish church of Our Lady of Building, located in the heart of the Grand Street, could almost go unnoticed. The entrance of the church is not directly on the street, but is in a slight indentation. And the building being modern, it doesn't draw the eye straight away. However, if you look at the eyes a little, you will discover a completely unusual bell, as suspended in the air, and placed just above the entrance. That is original. Built on a former garden renovated in 1974 by a Polish architect, the church combines modernity with tradition with elegance and beauty. By entering the building, you will see on your left an astonishing wrought iron cross that runs up to the last stage. When you walk along the benches, you will join the choir. This is the perfect place for the circle. The white of the marble floor reveals the altar itself in circles. Thus placed in the centre of the church, you will be immersed in a bath of light and colours emanating from the magnificent stained glass windows. The latter trace the history of Poland. At the tabernacle you will see a representation of the Supper. Will you know how to find Judas? So look for the halo character. Every Sunday, a Franco-Polish mass is organised. Accessible to everyone (thanks to the diffusion of large screen translation), this mass shows the richness of a community open to sharing and will be happy to welcome you and to make you visit the places, even if you come only as a tourist. A superb building is not missing.
