CASTLE OF ESNES

The château is a listed historic monument, and with good reason. Right in the middle of the village, Château d'Esnes was built in the 13th century and modified in the 14th and 15th centuries. Restored in the 17th century, it retains its round towers, dovecote, dungeon and porch. It's a real plunge into the history of the Cambrésis region, and the medieval atmosphere will charm you to no end. The château also hosts temporary exhibitions. Free parking nearby.
