In the heart of the Gatinais, Chéroy offers its softness to live with who takes the time to cross this charming place. Located on the Lunain, the underground river, the municipality had several communal wells but now only two. Its church, its barn in the tithes, its Roman bridge, the St. Mark's cross marking the place of an ancient chapel in Chéroy's colony-leprosy-colony, its Freedom Tree are all small points of interest in the history of the city. As for its location in the vicinity of Sens but also of Nemours, and its immediate proximity to the Ile de France (just 1 hour from Paris), it makes Chéroy a rural village, but offering all the infrastructures that can attract a young and family population.
