Less well-known and lively than S'Archittu, the village of Santa Caterina is nevertheless well worth a visit. The beach is unremarkable, but you can't help but marvel at the limestone plateau that borders it and takes on all the colors of fire as the sun sets. At the end of the day, the ancient Aragonese watchtower perched on its promontory becomes a romantic destination for a stroll. The coastal walk back north is a beautiful one. A narrow path runs along the limestone lip that drops into the sea for 2 km. There are some superb spots for swimming, watching a spectacular sunset or simply enjoying a memorable jog.
