Travel Guide Badar

Badar/Бадар has a population of around 100, mostly Macedonian. The village belongs to the municipality of Petrovec/Петровец (9,000 inhabitants, 50% Macedonians, 19% Bosnians and 18% Albanians). It lies along one of the two ramps of the E-75 freeway, 13 km southeast of Petrovec, 32 km southeast of Skopje and 32 km northwest of Veles. This village gives its name to the beautiful Badar Gorge. From Skopje, access is easy, as the one-way ramp of the E-75 freeway heading south passes through the village. From Veles, on the other hand, you have to go back up to Katlanovo/Катланово and take the freeway in the other direction.
