Are there no uninhabited islands left in the North Malé atoll? The Hilton Amingiri has invested in an artificial island in a vast and beautiful lagoon to the southwest of Malé, on the edge of the atoll. In July 2022, the hotel group opened its fourth resort in the Maldives, following those of Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi, Conrad Rangali and SAii Lagoon. Hilton has built 109 individual villas, both on the beach and on stilts, with attractive dimensions and elegant decor. All have private pools, and the emphasis is on light and views. The rooms feature large picture windows, allowing you to enjoy the tropical beauty uninterruptedly. Despite its recent opening, the vegetation is already well established. Trees and bushes have been brought to maturity from other islands in the country. The walkways are sheltered by a tropical canopy, while the island's villas are separated by an already dense natural curtain. You can get around the island by bike (each villa is equipped with 2 bicycles) or on foot, while the staff use electric carts. The resort caters for all ages, with special areas reserved for certain age groups, so that everyone can enjoy their vacation as they wish. For example, a special area has been designed for teenagers. They enjoy a terrace above the mini-club, where they can relax, listen to music and even have their meals, with menus designed just for them. Adults, meanwhile, can take refuge in Eden, a champagne and gin bar set in the lagoon. Several restaurants offer cuisine from all horizons, always prepared with flair. The Hilton shares a beautiful lagoon with the Grand Park Khodipparu. However, the two islands are far enough apart that you won't have to cross paths for impromptu swims. Some will see the resort's proximity to Malé, only 20 minutes away by speedboat, as an advantage.
