Located two hours by car from Ålesund, on the shores of the Hjørundfjord, Sæbø is a small village well worth a visit, not least for its geographical location. The road to Sæbø is already a beautiful one: when the ferry arrives from Ålesund, take the small, picturesque road to the left (Fylkesveg) along the fjord, then turn left onto route 655 to Sæbø. Enjoy hiking trails in the surrounding mountains and, for the more sporty, to the summit of Skårasalen, salmon fishing in the Bondalselva river or simply admiring the unobstructed view over the fjord. A good alternative route to Geiranger.
