Briksdal Glacier is part of the Jostedal Glacier, Europe's largest glacier and a 486 km2 national park( also accessible via Fjaerland). Highest point 1,950 m above sea level.Olden, 20 km to the north on the shore, is a good starting point for exploring the glacier.From Olden, take the road to Briksdalsbreen glacier. Skirting the emerald-green lake of Oldenvatnet, the road plunges 20 km into a narrow valley flanked by high, sugar-loaf-shaped mountains. At the far end, imposing peaks gradually rise up, with the impressive Briksdalsbreen glacier towering above them.
