Exuberant vegetation surrounds this picturesque village set between the Vallès plain and the Montseny massif. The Vallforners River, which rises in the Pla de la Calma and flows from the peaks of the Montseny, runs through the village, attracting hikers, walkers, horse riders and, above all, mountain bikers, the area's flagship activity. Plan an excursion to the Vallforners reservoir (about 3 hours return), a walk through the woods along the Can Cuch chestnut path or to the Iberian village of Puig del Castell, a relic with a thousand-year-old history. Every two years, at the end of February or beginning of March, the charcoal fair pays tribute to traditional crafts. A unique festivity in Catalonia. Finally, in May, the big fair of Sant Ponç, focused on natural products, is not to be missed.
