In Piazza Federico II, the ancient Roman forum, you can admire the San Floriano complex, which includes the ancient church of San Floriano and the Franciscan convent. In the same square you can find the Cathedral(Duomo), the Ripanti Palace and the Balleani Palace. Jesi has kept its medieval walls (13th and 14th centuries) which follow the line of the ancient Roman wall. If you stay only a few hours in Jesi, it is advisable to visit its magnificent Pinacoteca and the Gallery of Polychrome Stuccoes: a large number of works by Lorenzo Lotto, a great painter of the Renaissance, are preserved there.
