Legend has it that the name and existence of the village of Redondo is linked to a round rock that was inside the medieval walls. But people were present long before, as evidenced by the many megalithic monuments in the area. The production of ceramics is also attested to on the site since the beginning of the Neolithic period! But it was at the end of the 19th century that Redondo became one of the largest production centers in the region.
