A completely classic mountain village, which still has some reasons to stop here to enjoy some fresh air on its way. This hamlet without history could have existed as long as the ancient times, without any notable changes, before the construction of the Smolen fortress, also at an uncertain date between the end of the 13th century and the end of the 14th (when the first specific mention of the castle is found in the texts). It passed through the hands of the powerful Pilecki family for two centuries, before being devastated by the Austrians and becoming the present ruin.
