An old village that has existed since time immemorial, it appeared on the map and continues to exist thanks to its presence on the Eagle's Nest route, and the Via Regia, one of the pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostela. On site is an ancient church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, converted to Calvinism in the 16th century (ironically in a pilgrimage stopover village) and the beautiful Pieskowa Skała Castle on a nearby promontory.
