About an hour from Puerto Varas, Petrohué is a very small village, surrounded by misty mountains, nestled at the foot of the Osorno volcano and facing the Todos los Santos lake. Beautiful excursions are organized at the small pier Cruce de Lagos, some of them even going to Argentina. Connection points with Peulla are organized throughout the year. It is interesting to take a nice boat trip: for an authentic trip, ask the fishermen who organize tours on their boats. The village also has the Museo Pioneros de la Patagonia, which traces the 15,000 year history of this remote part of the world.
