Owned by the bishops of Nevers since the reign of Charlemagne, Urzy can boast a rich historical past and possess on its land a beautiful testimony of this glorious past with the Château des Bordes, which ensured the defence of the town and the farmland near the valley. Finally, there are many hiking trails throughout the area: open your eyes wide and you may notice the beautiful wild orchids that flourish in the historic town of Urzy.
