Badalona is a vibrant coastal town just outside Barcelona. Founded by the Romans, the town has preserved numerous vestiges of that era, which can be discovered in the Museu de Badalona. History buffs can also visit the monastery of Sant Jeroni de la Murtra, a Catalan Gothic gem built in the early 15th century. From modern times, Badalona has inherited one of its symbols: the Pont du Pétrole (Oil Bridge). This was originally a jetty used to transport oil from tankers. Today, the bridge is used as a promenade and offers beautiful views of the coastline.
