With its 20 private wineries, this village is something of a Mecca for DO Empordà wines. Here you'll find vineyards such as Santamaria, Celler Pagès, Trias, Arché, Olivier Contí and, of course, the Oliveda group, which houses the tap museum and a bottle of wine signed by Salvador Dalí. Accommodation in this pretty village is easy to come by, as rural tourism is on the increase. This ancient medieval village also boasts a pretty town hall and a fortified church, Santa Àgata, dating from the 12th and 13th centuries. As throughout the region, there are numerous dolmens hidden in the cork oak forests, which are also ideal for hiking.
