Travel Guide Pobožje

Pobožje/Побожје (pronounced "pobogié") has around 700 inhabitants, 78% of whom are Macedonians and 16% Serbs. The village lies 600 m above sea level at the foot of the Skopska Crna Gora and along the Poboška River, 1.4 km northeast of Kučevište and 15 km north of Skopje(via Radišani). Bus connections: line no. 61 from Skopje.Like its neighboring villages, Pobožje has several churches and a monastery of medieval origin. But these are poorly preserved. The main attraction is the P 2239 road, which runs from here through the Skopska Crna Gora to the Kosovar border (no border post). The scenery is very beautiful.
