Travel Guide Isniq (Istinić)

The village is known by two names: Isniq in Albanian (pronounced "is-nich") and Истинић/Istinić in Serbian ("is-ti-nich"). It concentrates most of the population of the municipality of which it is the capital: about 3,800 inhabitants, 99% Albanians. Isniq/Istinić is located 2.5 km northeast of Deçan/Dečani, 12 km south of Peja/Peć.Located at 564 m above sea level in the fertile Metochia (or Dukagjin) plain, this village is bordered on the south by the Dečanska Bistrica.
