This village is known by two names: Bishtazhin in Albanian (pronounced "biche-tajine") and Бистражин/Bistražin in Serbian ("bistrajine"). It has about 400 inhabitants, all Albanians, and is located 8 km southwest of Gjakova/Đakovica.Posed on the right bank of the Erenik, this village, whose name is derived from the Slavic term bistra ("fast, clear water"), is dominated by a strange modern Catholic church. Bishtazhin/Bistražin is most famous for its old Terzi bridge, which was for a long time the longest in Kosovo. Nearby are two beautiful sites: the small canyon of the White Drin and the Kusari cave.
