Last village on the coast before Casamance, it is considered one of the oldest in the country. It is said to have been founded in the 16th century. This is where the Halahin River meets the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of the most popular sites for birdwatchers, with more than 350 species of birds. So don't forget your binoculars and if you want more information you can drop by the Bird Information Centre. You can also go to the fishing centre to discover the seabed or to the snake farm, where Luc, a Frenchman, collects sick animals which he treats here
