It used to take three hours to cover the 55 km between Bignona and Diouloulou, on a road in very poor condition. Today, the tar is impeccable as far as Abéné and Kafountine, and the two towns can be reached in less than an hour's drive. Bush taxis can easily be found at the bus stations of Kafoutine and Bignona to reach this town of nearly 3,000 inhabitants and even to go to the neighbouring country. In Diouloulou there is a nice bridge, a small market to buy fruit or bissap juice and a roundabout with traders all around. English is also spoken here, proof of the proximity of the Gambia.
