Giglio Campese, the last to be born as an inhabited centre, is today prized for its beautiful sandy beach. The bay is framed by the Faraglione and the imposing Medici Tower, built in 1700 to control fishing and preserve the bay from pirate attacks. 2 km to the south there is a beautiful white sandy beach with low water, a paradise for children: the Cannella beach. Another, smaller beach, the Caldana, is located two coves further south, only reachable on foot but the 20-minute walk is an enchantment. To the north of the port, at a distance of 5 km, is the beach of Arenella. Like the first one, it is accessible by car.
