This Las Vegas is much less known than the one in Nevada. Founded in 1835 by a community of ranchers, it is undoubtedly worth a visit for its downtown, with its market place and its buildings from the 1880s: the Plaza Hotel (1882 - 230 Plaza), the Veeder Buildings (1880-1908 - 1815 West Plaza), the Courtroom Building (1882 - 213 South Plaza) or the Romero House & Fire Company (1909 - 155 Bridge Street), just to mention a few. Finally, it was here that the great entrepreneur Fred Harvey created the first large hotel in the station intended to welcome travelers with his Harvey Girls: the Castañeda (1898 - 524 Railroad Ave)
