A French-speaking commune located in the Walloon region, Bernissart straddles the French-Belgian border. Part of the village is attached to the municipality of Condé-sur-l'Escaut. The village is known for its very rich paleontological site. For the amateurs, the museum of the Iguanodon will make you discover a real skeleton of iguanodon five meters high as well as very beautiful geological parts. Bernissart is also home to some very beautiful natural sites such as the Harchies marshes, which represent the largest wetland in Wallonia. The Bon-Secours forest offers many hiking and mountain bike routes for sportsmen
