About 35 km west of Oviedo, this small town of about 5,000 inhabitants is the other capital of the comarca de la sidra, along with Villaviciosa. So you go there to visit its Cider Museum, one of the first interactive centres in Asturias, or to attend its Cider Festival, which takes place every year in July and has contributed a lot to the fame of the city. Logically, this will be an ideal starting point to visit the region's sidrerías. The surrounding area also offers beautiful nature walks, with the Sierra de Peñamayor mountain range as a backdrop, where you can listen to the impressive roar of the deer in early autumn.
