A pleasant 100-hectare park with marked trails and all amenities (picnic area, toilets). The park being at 310 m of altitude, the temperatures are cooler than in Kaunakakai. The main points of interest of the park are the Kalaupapa Lookout: a superb viewpoint on the village of Kalaupapa, with explanatory panels; and the Kauleonanahoa, or Nanahoa phallus. According to legend, a woman named Nanahoa regained fertility by making offerings to this enormous phallic stone. It has remained a sacred place; sterile women continue to gather there in the hope of becoming pregnant.
