Located in the canton of Arnay-le-Duc, Liernais is a small rural commune of 491 inhabitants. On the borders of the granite mountain range of Morvan and the plateau of Auxois, the town enjoys a beautiful diversity of landscapes. Admire on the one hand its wooded hills, its lakes and its streams, and on the other hand, to the east, its fields of cereals and green meadows. An ancient village, Liernais has its mysteries and legends. It is said that the Gallic druids used to come to its woods to perform their ceremonies. Downstream from the Gravotière pond, there is a place called "the druid's pulpit". Keep your eyes open, perhaps you will come across one of their ghosts!
