18 km south of Sucre. 10,200 inhabitants. Villa de Yotala is a pleasant picturesque village with its colonial architecture, narrow streets, and mild and pleasant climate. It is a popular tourist destination. People come here to relax, camp, swim in the rivers... Don't miss to visit the admirable church with its Virgin of the Candelaria, on the main square. The Santa Rosa festivities are celebrated with great fervor every year on August 30. On the way back to Sucre, you can pass by the Hacienda Nuccho, amazing for its neoclassical style columns. In this house died the president Ballivian (1873).
