The Desierto de Los Leones is the name of a forest area located west of the capital that has been declared a national park. This is a good place to spend the afternoon if you want to take a green bath, walk in the forest or ride on mountain trails. It was because of this convent that the zone is called Desierto de Los Leones, because the carmelite monks used to name "desert" where they withdrew to pray and meditate.
