The Modjadji Nature Reserve is ideal for walks, refreshments and barbecues. Beware: the track is not in very good condition. Be very careful on rainy days. But above all, you must go and see the sacred cycas of the Queen of Rain up close. Contrary to their appearance, they are not palm trees. These trees fed the dinosaurs fifty million years ago. Protected by their sacredness, they form here the largest concentration of a single species of cycas in the world. A local belief is that their seeds are poisonous. Climb to the top of the hill to see the ocean.
