Kapama is some 12,000 hectares separated from the Kruger National Park. Here there is only one owner, and above all a breathtaking view of the Drakensberg range. The magnificent scenery is at its best at sunset. In the reserve there are luxurious lodges and safaris to meet the Big Five. During a stay in the Kapama Game Reserve, one can visit the cheetah research and breeding centre which occupies about 100 hectares at the other end of the reserve. It is a 6 hour drive from Johannesburg, while for those arriving by plane, Hoedspruit airport is 15 minutes away.
