A very nice alternative to the Kruger Park, these 65,000 ha of private concessions, adjacent to the Kruger (there is no fence between the two), constitute the "golden triangle" of wildlife, divided into about twenty concessions. Sabi Sand Reserve is also the most expensive bushland in the world. Each accommodation offers at least luxury, if not very high luxury, in a lodge or a fully equipped safari tent. From Johannesburg, by car, allow 6 hours to the Newington and Shaws entrances, 7 hours to Gowrie. By plane, Kruger Mpumalanga airport for the first two, or Hoedspruit airport for Gowrie.
