This is the story of a village that grew up around a post office called Blue Haze. Some evenings, a bluish veil covers the horizon, blue like the plastic bags that cover the bunches of bananas on the local farms. Coming from White River, you pass through huge banana plantations. Today, Hazyview is the communication hub for the whole region: Sabie to the west and the Paul Kruger entrance to the park to the east, Nelspruit to the south and Hoedspruit to the north. There are all the services that the traveller needs, from the supermarket to the fast-food restaurant, from the cash machine to the petrol pump... not forgetting an African market on the sidewalk.
