In the heart of the rolling bush, you cross the Murchison Range to reach the Kremetartboom junction, then the Baobab Bar. In the days of the gold rush, dozens of prospectors used to come here for a drink. Back on the track, direction Gravelotte. Some nights you can see kudu or giraffes on these lands rich in mica, feldspar, silica and emeralds. Dominated by the 874 m high Spitskop, the little town was baptized by a missionary, the Reverend Fritz Reuter. Not far away is the largest antimony mine in the world. In 1892, in the age of gold, a massive railroad scam caused a national scandal.
