When you arrive, you can see the rock formations with curious shapes. This bled was the first mining centre in the region. Auguste Robert, "French Bob", whose trace is found in Leydsdorp, near Tzaneen, discovered here the Pioneer Reef. This was the start of the Kaap valley gold rush and, in the aftermath, the creation of the village of Barberton. The French adventurer entered South African history, on a shovel, on June 2, 1883. Some brave still persevere today. From the village in height, you enjoy a splendid view. Occasionally, it will be discovered (but rare) a herd of wild horses.
