Crowned by the surrounding relief and located on the left bank of the Ouche river, this picturesque village is in the heart of a green valley. The main tourist attractions of Barbirey-sur-Ouche are undoubtedly its 18th century castle and its adjoining gardens open to visitors. This 19th century English-style landscaped park, labelled "Remarkable Gardens", enhances the valley's landscapes, its fauna and flora. During a stroll in the village, you can admire the beautiful houses of the 18th and 19th centuries without forgetting the Saint-Martin church. Also to be discovered: the cave of La Roche-Chèvre in the forest of Veluze which was used as a shelter from the Neolithic period, then during the Bronze Age and even after the Middle Ages.
