Lipovce is a small village of barely 500 inhabitants located in the Prešov region, first mentioned in 1320. A thermal spring has been known here since the Renaissance, it has been exploited since the 19th century, first as a thermal spa, and since the 20th century it has been marketed in bottles under the brand names Šariš and Prameň Salvator. Near Lipovce, there is the Kamenná baba National Nature Reserve in the Branisko mountain range. It is in fact a very rare dolomitic limestone canyon formed by the stream Lačnovský. It is dominated by uniquely shaped rock formations, the landscape is impressive
