Approximately 3,000 inhabitants. The town of Rajecké Teplice is devoted to the thermalism since its origins. Located in the northern part of the Rajecka River basin, about 10 km south of Žilina, it has been developed since the 14th century, when it was known simply as a thermal spa, as a result of the exploitation of hot springs. The water comes out at a temperature of 38°C and contains bicarbonate, calcium and magnesium, which have healing properties to treat functional and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Rajecké Teplice is today a privileged resort for thermal cures, but, alas, without extra soul.
