In the parish of Gweedore, Derrybeg is a very small town (only one street in the village and a Romanesque church, to put it simply) on the west coast of Donegal, with a very pretty beach and truly idyllic sunsets, making it a very good base for those wishing to walk around the Sperrin Mountains in particular. Please note: as we're in the middle of the Gaeltacht, Derrybeg is signposted: Doirí Beaga! There are a number of charming little houses for rent in the village. Quite handy before you head off to explore the surrounding area with your family.
