Buncrana is the largest town on the Inishowen peninsula, with a landscape that's both civilized and seaside. Here, you'll enjoy strolling along the seafront and the long main street, lined with friendly, often lively pubs and a few stores where you can do your shopping. The atmosphere is always very relaxed. In the town of Buncrana, entertainment is at its peak during a renowned music festival held every year around the last week of July. It's obviously a very pleasant place to put down your bags before setting off on an adventure in the wilds further north.
