Welcome to Samothrace!It is through the port of Kamariotissa, the main town of Samothrace, that you will arrive from Alexandroupoli. Apart from the ferry departures and arrivals, this big modern town is not very interesting and there is little chance that you will spend much time there. The seafront is lined with an avenue where you can find cafes, a few taverns and shops. Again, nothing very interesting to report. If you follow the waterfront westward, you will reach the lagoon of Agios Andreas (1.5 km from the port), beyond which lie large, lonely and somewhat desolate beaches.
