The main Acadian region of Prince Edward Island, it forms a triangle between Bedeque and Egmont bays. Several villages bear the names of saints - Saint-Nicholas, Saint-Raphaël, Saint-Timothée, Saint-Philippe, etc. - which testify to the attachment of the Acadians to the Catholic religion. Lobster fishing is practiced along the Strait's coastline, while the spring herring and mackerel fishery has just been banned in 2022, a hard blow for the local fishermen. To immerse yourself in Acadian culture, visit the Acadian Museum of Prince Edward Island in Miscouche and the Acadian Music Village in Abram-Village.
