Named after one of the most common trees on Seychelles beaches (and for some years now suffering from a disease), this gently sloping cove is very pleasant, but from May to October swimmers must beware of the south-east currents. Much loved by the Mahelois, this beach is especially known for its hotel-restaurant with its feet in the sand: the Batista hotel. You can also stop to explore the sea bed by snorkelling or to watch the sunset, which is always superb here. This dreamy curve is now accessible by car via the path leading to Batista, the one next to the beach having unfortunately been privatized.
