Around 30 km west of Aracena, this village has been part of the network of Spain's prettiest villages since 2018. It is best known for its 10th-century mosque, the only well-preserved rural mosque to have been declared a historic monument in 1931. But the village as a whole is well worth a visit, with its casco antiguo (old town) featuring Mudejar and Baroque-style houses, and the 16th-century San Martín church with its Manueline pardon gate. On the third Saturday and Sunday of May, it hosts the romería de Santa Eulalia, one of Spain's oldest pilgrimages.
