Between the gorges of Ala Archa and Alamedin. This small ski resort was the witness of a speedy trial of the Stalinist era. In 1938, the most influential members of the Kyrgyz government were allegedly liquidated and buried at the foot of a slope in the ski resort. A well-kept secret until 1991, the year of the fall of the communist regime, when the daughter of the only "civilian" witness to the mass murder reported the story her father had confided in her before he died. A memorial was erected in their memory in 1997. A small hotel has been opened on the site of the ski resort, where people can also come for treks in the summer.
